Assistant Manager - Procurement

Role & responsibilities

• To create an active vendor database by identifying new vendors, periodically assessing performance and giving feedback
• To identify alternative/ new products in the market, undertake cost-benefit analysis and present to the management
• To handle end-to-end procurement of the assigned material and ensure timely delivery of materials at sites and timely payment to suppliers
• To enhance value of the product/ services and make annual rate contracts
• To control inventory by optimizing lot size, reducing delivery lead time, and transferring excess dead stock to other sites
• To maintain relationships with vendors by assessing their performance from market and undertaking joint improvement projects with them
• To have effective coordination with all sites and conduct regular site visits
• To create strong networking within and outside the organization
