Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Sales Accountant to join our team in the Tile Industry. The Sales Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to sales activities, ensuring accurate invoicing, processing payments, and supporting the overall financial operations. This position is key to ensuring smooth coordination between sales and accounting departments, ensuring that all financial data related to tile sales is accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Order Management:
• Process and manage customer orders, including reviewing order details and verifying pricing and discounts.
• Coordinate with sales and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Invoicing & Billing:
• Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers based on sales orders and agreements.
• Monitor and track invoice payments and follow up with customers for overdue payments.
• Accounts Receivable:
• Reconcile customer accounts and manage outstanding balances.
• Maintain records of all payments and adjustments made to accounts.
• Sales Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management review.
• Analyze sales trends and provide insights to help optimize sales strategies.
• Payment Processing:
• Ensure all payment transactions are properly recorded and reconciled with the general ledger.
• Process refunds, returns, and adjustments as needed.
• Financial Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate financial records related to sales transactions, including ensuring all payments are posted correctly.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all sales data is accurate.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with sales, finance, and customer service teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to sales transactions.
• Provide support to senior accountants or financial managers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting, sales, or a related role.
• Experience in the tile industry or construction materials is highly preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and sales processes.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
