JOB DESCRIPTION: Revenue R2R
About the Position: Finance Associate Manager
The GBS revenue accounting team is part of the R2R team. Located at our facility in Bangalore, this team collaborates with the Corporate Revenue Accounting team to ensure compliance with US GAAP Revenue Recognition Standards.
This position reports to the Finance Associate Manager, R2R, and works closely with the Corporate Revenue Accounting team in Sunnyvale, California.
Key activities performed by the team include:
- Reviewing contracts and identifying revenue impact
- Testing revenue recognition criteria (shipment cutoff, partial shipment, exception items, etc.)
- Revenue accounting for certain customers
- Service revenue adjustments
- SOX controls
- Reconciliations
- Revenue forecasting (in coordination with Theatre Revenue Managers)
- Adhering to new revenue standards
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing contracts and identifying revenue impact
- Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
- Handling some of the more complex areas
- Participating in other projects as they arise
Minimum Qualifications:
- CA
Other Information:
- 6-8 years of experience in an MNC and/or Big 4 Accounting firms
- Strong accounting background with sound knowledge of revenue accounting in US GAAP
- Ability to work with tight deadlines, strong communication skills, and attention to detail
- Experience in shared services organizations is an advantage
