The Junior Legal Assistant is a contract role and is part of WSP India - Legal Compliance Ethics
Function and reports to Specialist - Risk, Legal, Compliance Ethics , India. The candidate will
provide administrative, operational, legal compliance support to the WSP India, with a primary focus
on producing full range of support on reviews drafting of contracts/agreements, policies, licenses
and other legal documents. The candidate must be organised, display excellent
written/communication skills and have the ability to apply independent judgment on a regular basis.
Should have a law degree or equivalent and 1-3 years relevant experience, mainly in a contract review
and/or compliance management position, working with multinational companies.
Responsibilities
Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing full range of Master Services Agreements, supplier, sub-
contractor, Software license agreements, General Terms and Conditions, Non- Disclosure
Agreement, Contract Staffing Agreements and Permanent Hire Agreements etc.;
To coordinate with Law Firms w.r.t. litigation (both potential and actual);
Liaisoning with various internal stakeholders (Business, Human Resources, Finance, Taxation
teams) to ensure timely closure of agreements and advising them on contractual mandates and
compliances;
Providing feedback on contract risks in a clear and readable format;
Conduct follow up calls with colleagues to discuss contract reviews, where required;
Responding to contract queries from stakeholders during negotiations;
Ensure documentation is reviewed efficiently and on time;
Co-ordination with Insurance broker and other internal stakeholders - tracking renewal of WSP
India Insurance program;
Coordinate with all Business Support Functions w.r.t. Statutory/Regulatory Compliances;
Support the Specialist - Risk, Legal, Compliance Ethics , India with other Legal and Compliance
activities and initiatives.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Law.
1-3 years of relevant professional experience in a large corporation.
Prior experience in a highly automated environment and/or high degree of comfort with
computers and technology.
Proven experience with MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel, Power BI and Power Point
