Odoo/Functional Consultant

The Functional Consultant will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and customization of Odoo ERP for PFRDA (Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority) with a strong focus on financial management, pension fund operations, and regulatory compliance.

This role requires expertise in ERP system implementation, a deep understanding and knowledge of financial operations including all the related reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

Requirement Gathering & Analysis :

- Perform business process analysis while validating the defined PFRDA System Requirement Specifications (SRS) in Odoo, identifying gaps in financial workflows, and implementing effective solutions to address them.

- This includes key modules such as Accounting, Budgeting, Invoicing, Taxation, and Financial Reporting.

- Demonstrate expertise in Odoo Accounting and Financial modules, with a strong understanding of SQL, API integrations, and automation within the Odoo ecosystem.

- Collaborate with PFRDA stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for financial operations, GST compliance, and Income Tax processes.

- Analyze pension fund management workflows and identify areas to be automated within the Odoo ERP system.

Odoo ERP Customization & Configuration :

- Understand the Odoo structure and table flow relationship.

- Customize Odoo ERP modules (Payroll, Purchase, Accounting, GST, Income Tax, TDS) to meet the needs of PFRDA entities.

- Configure General Ledger items corresponding to each item.

- Configure GST return filing, Income Tax deductions (TDS), and financial transaction workflows within Odoo ERP.

- Set up financial reporting tools in Odoo for accurate tax computation, pension fund tracking, and compliance reporting.

System Integration & Data Migration :

- Lead the migration of financial and tax-related data from legacy systems to Odoo ERP.

- Ensure smooth integration of Odoo ERP with external systems such as GST portals, Income Tax filing systems, and banking systems.

Process Mapping & Workflow Design :

- Design and document efficient financial workflows to automate GST invoicing, Income Tax filings, and TDS computations in Odoo.

- Ensure that the ERP system aligns with PFRDA's business needs and regulatory requirements.

Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Develop test cases and perform testing to ensure GST, Income Tax, and TDS calculations are accurate in Odoo ERP.

- Conduct user acceptance testing to validate the system's functionality and compliance with statutory requirements.

User Training & Support :

- Provide training for finance and accounting teams on using Odoo ERP for GST filing, Income Tax calculations, and reporting.

- Offer ongoing post-implementation support to resolve any ERP-related issues and ensure smooth adoption of the system.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement :

- Solve complex taxation issues related to GST, Income Tax, and TDS in the Odoo ERP system.

- Recommend process improvements within financial workflows, ensuring the system optimally handles tax compliance and reporting.
