Description:

Job Summary:
- As a Financial Reporting Vice President within the JP Morgan Financial Reporting Team, you will take a lead role in coordinating financial reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reports.
- You will manage a team of over 30 through 3-4 direct-reporting Associates, focusing on both statutory and regulatory reports.
- This role provides an opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial statement preparation and review, including IFRS and US GAAP application, and to make a significant impact on our key clients
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the team by guiding Associates and staff on handling complex financial transactions post-NAV to ensure accurate and timely financial statement delivery, covering Portfolio of Investments and Financial Statements for Mutual/Hedge Funds under various GAAP (US GAAP/IFRS/UK SORP).
- Oversee and manage comprehensive audit planning with global internal teams and partner locations, while understanding financial reporting product offerings and client SLA requirements.
- Conduct final quality and analytical reviews of financial statements, including numerical and note disclosures, to meet the standards required for external client delivery.
- Be hands-on in overseeing the production of the Fund's quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for partners, filed with regulators, along with bespoke client and regulatory reporting.
- Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from partner sites and clients, addressing ad hoc projects on financial reporting issues, and ensuring timely completion of MIS and escalations to senior management locally and at partner sites.
- Actively participate in audits with multiple departments, manage risk and control agendas, and respond to internal and external inquiries.
- Assist in developing and adjusting department procedures, enhancing systems, achieving departmental efficiency goals, maintaining and tracking SLAs/KPIs, and providing updates in governance calls.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Possess a Chartered Accountant qualification or an MBA in finance, with at least 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically in financial reporting, fund accounting, or audit within a service delivery model.
- Have a strong technical understanding of the investment industry, including knowledge of various regulatory requirements and accounting standards, particularly US GAAP, IFRS, and AIFMD.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail when reviewing financial statements and other documentation for external reporting purposes.
- Exhibit exceptional leadership and staff development skills, with prior experience in team management.
- Possess excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships both internally and with external stakeholders.
- Have strong organizational skills, ideally with experience in project and program management, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Display advanced analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and proactively drive initiatives to achieve results, along with a focus on control and a thorough understanding of operational risk.
