Role & responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of contractors and suppliers and/or any, third parties are in line with labour laws
- Checking vendor bills and reporting any shortcomings, or deficiencies related to non-compliance
- Coordination with sites, contractors etc. for monthly attendance of contractor's staff deployment at the site
- Coordination with Contractors for queries about Labour Laws Compliance
- Check labour cost vis-à-vis billing in the Project related bill and make a report highlighting the same
- Maintain records of all Bills, and expenses in an Excel sheet
- Maintain updated records of all Agreements, Licenses, and Permissions etc.
- Ensure organisation-wide compliance with Indian labour laws, including but not limited to:
- BOCW Act,
- Shops and Establishment Acts
- Industrial Disputes Act, 1947
- Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952
- Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948
- Labour Welfare Fund Acts
- Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970
- Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013
- Payment of Wages Act
- Minimum Wages Act
- Maintain up-to-date statutory registers and records as mandated by labour laws.
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Organise training sessions for employees and/or vendors on labour law compliance and organisational policies.
- Stay updated on amendments to labour laws and advise management on necessary changes
- Coordinate with vendors, agencies, labour department officials etc, facilitate inspections, and address their queries
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing organisational policies aligned with labour laws
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory authorities
Preferred candidate profile
-Minimum 8- 10 years of experience in statutory compliances
- Preferably from the Real Estate industry
- Working experience in Payroll and knowledge of the BOCW Act will have an added advantage
- Smart and people-friendly
- Possess good communication skills in English and Hindi
- Possess good patience and ability to calmly deal with Vendors and Contractors
- Ability to work under pressure
- An eye for detailed information and analysis
- Process-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of applying for licenses, filing returns, CLRA, EPF, ESI, LWF etc.
