Head DM Plant / AGM/DGM

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Execution:
   Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and design teams to finalize the DM plant layout and specifications.
2. Oversee installation and commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
3. Technical Review:
   Evaluate and approve designs, technical drawings, and equipment specifications for the DM plant.
4. Assess vendor proposals for equipment such as ion exchange units, pumps, and instrumentation.
5. Procurement and Vendor Management:
6. Coordinate with procurement teams to source high-quality materials and equipment.
7. Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and installation of critical components.
8. Site Supervision:
   Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
9. Conduct quality checks during equipment installation and oversee system integration.
10. Testing and Commissioning:
    Develop and execute testing protocols for DM plant equipment and systems.
11. Ensure the production of water meeting required quality standards (e.g., pH, TDS, silica levels) before operational handover.
12. Coordination with Stakeholders:
    Work closely with other project teams, including civil, mechanical, and electrical departments, to resolve integration issues.
13. Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
14. Documentation and Reporting:
    Prepare detailed project documentation, including commissioning reports, operational manuals, and as-built drawings.
15. Submit regular progress reports to project leadership and highlight potential risks or delays.
16. Training and Handover:
    Train operational staff on DM plant systems and processes.
17. Ensure a smooth transition from project phase to operations phase, including handover of all documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

Work experience in African continent is preferred.
