- OpenTelemetry Implementation : Integrate and configure OpenTelemetry SDKs, libraries, and agents to collect metrics, logs, and traces across distributed systems.
- Instrumentation : Collaborate with development teams to instrument code for improved observability using OpenTelemetry standards.
- Log Management : Design and implement log aggregation, storage, and querying solutions, ensuring efficient and secure access to logs.
- Metrics and Monitoring : Set up metrics collection pipelines and configure alerting thresholds for application and infrastructure performance.
- Dashboard Development : Create and maintain real-time dashboards using tools like Grafana, Kibana, or similar, for application health and analytics visualization.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, application errors, and latency issues using collected telemetry data.
- Documentation and Standards : Develop best practices, standards, and guidelines for observability and logging across teams.
- Collaboration : Work closely with DevOps, SREs, and software engineers to integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines and application design.
Required Skills :
- Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry (SDKs, collectors, and exporters).
- Expertise in logging frameworks and tools like Elastic Stack (ELK), Fluentd, or Logstash.
- Proficiency in monitoring and visualization tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Kibana.
- Strong knowledge of distributed tracing systems like Jaeger or Zipkin.

- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go for instrumentation purposes.
- Solid understanding of application performance monitoring (APM) concepts and tools.
Preferred Skills :
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating observability into the DevOps lifecycle.
- Experience with security and compliance considerations in telemetry data handling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret large datasets.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in observability, monitoring, or a similar role.
