Job Description

Role & responsibilities:


1. Business Development & Sales Growth:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase Margin Trading Fund (MTF) adoption among retail and HNI clients.
  • Identify and onboard potential clients interested in leveraging margin trading facilities.
  • Work closely with branch managers, relationship managers, and dealers to drive MTF sales.
  • Maintain and improve relationships with existing clients to enhance product utilization.

2. Team Leadership & Training:

  • Lead and mentor a team of MTF sales executives to meet business targets.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams (sales, dealing desk, RM) on MTF benefits, risk management, and compliance.
  • Monitor team performance and provide guidance to improve productivity and client engagement.

3. Client Engagement & Advisory:

  • Educate clients on MTF offerings, benefits, associated risks, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist clients in making informed decisions by providing insights on market conditions and leveraging MTF effectively.
  • Address and resolve client queries, ensuring high satisfaction and engagement levels.

4. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track and analyse MTF utilization trends and prepare reports on sales performance.
  • Provide insights to senior management on market trends, competitive analysis, and product performance.
  • Develop new initiatives to enhance MTF adoption and improve client engagement strategies.

Key Skills & Competencies:


  • Strong knowledge of Margin Trading Facility (MTF) and broking industry regulations.
  • Proven experience in sales and business development in the broking or financial services industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of risk management associated with margin trading.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM software, and financial tools for sales tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive sales targets.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • NISM Certifications (Series VIII - Equity Derivatives, and others as required by SEBI).
  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience in MTF sales, equity sales, or related roles in the stockbroking sector.
