SAS Administrator (6-8 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled SAS Administrator to join our team.

In this role, he/she will oversee the setup, maintenance, and optimization of our SAS environment.

The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operation, security, and performance of the platform while collaborating with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to support business needs.

Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and manage SAS software and related components.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal efficiency.

- Implement security measures, manage user access, and ensure compliance with best practices.

- Administer SAS metadata, including user roles, permissions, and configurations.

- Plan and execute software upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.

- Work closely with analysts and developers to support SAS-based applications.

- Maintain technical documentation related to SAS configurations and workflows.

- Provide training and support to SAS users to improve efficiency and usage.

- Stay up to date with SAS advancements and recommend improvements where needed.

Requirements :

- Prior experience in SAS administration or a similar role.

- In-depth knowledge of SAS architecture and its key components.

- Hands-on experience with SAS Management Console, SAS Metadata Server, and SAS Grid.

- Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell or Python for automation.

- Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.

- Strong problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- At least 6 years of real-world experience in SAS administration on Linux (Must).

- SAS Certified Platform Administrator for SAS 9.

- Experience managing SAS infrastructure and security.

- Knowledge of integrating SAS with enterprise systems (LDAP, Active Directory, etc.)

- Expertise in optimizing SAS applications for better performance.
