SCCM Admin - Job Description
Role Overview :
The SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the SCCM infrastructure, ensuring efficient deployment, configuration, and maintenance of endpoint devices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain the SCCM environment, including patch management, software distribution, and operating system deployment.
- Create and deploy application packages, task sequences, and scripts.
- Monitor SCCM health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Maintain and update SCCM infrastructure components, including servers and database instances.
- Perform device and software inventory management using SCCM.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure endpoint compliance and secure configurations.
- Generate reports using SCCM to provide insights into system performance and compliance.
- Provide technical support and resolve SCCM-related issues for end-users and IT teams.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Strong knowledge of SCCM architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
- Understanding of software deployment, patch management, and endpoint security.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager Certification) are a plus.
Preferred Experience :
- 2+ years of experience in SCCM administration or a similar role.
- Familiarity with other Microsoft tools such as Intune and Azure AD.
- Experience with integrating SCCM with third-party tools for enhanced functionality.
