SEO Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic SEO Lead to drive organic growth across our web properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in B2B SEO, experience working within an agency model, and a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end digital marketing. You will be responsible for leading SEO initiatives, implementing best practices, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

• SEO Strategy & Implementation: Develop and oversee the overall SEO strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
• B2B SEO Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of B2B marketing to drive qualified leads and increase organic visibility within target markets.
• Agency Experience: Utilize prior agency experience to manage multiple client accounts and campaigns effectively.
• End-to-End Digital Marketing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (content, design, product) to ensure optimal content performance and integrate SEO with other digital marketing initiatives for cohesive campaigns.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of SEO specialists, providing guidance, direction, and performance evaluations.
• Technical SEO: Identify technical SEO issues and collaborate with the web development team to implement solutions for improved website crawlability and performance. Recommend fixes for technical SEO issues.
• Keyword Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough keyword research and SEO analysis to identify relevant target keywords and phrases.
• Content Optimization: Develop and optimize high-quality, keyword-rich content for improved organic visibility. Guide content teams through keyword research. Oversee content relevance.
• Link Building: Execute link-building activities to ensure quality links from reputable sources. Oversee off-page optimization projects (e.g. link-building).
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor and analyze key SEO metrics (keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversion rates) and use insights to make data-driven decisions. Define and track relevant KPIs such as conversation rate, click rate, and bounce rate. Report on aspects of SEO such as traffic and rankings and collect data.
• Competitive Analysis: Conduct SEO audits, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and stay ahead of competitors in search.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of industry developments, algorithm updates, and emerging trends to continuously refine and optimize SEO strategies. Remain current on SEO trends as well as integrated marketing trends.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as an SEO Lead or in a similar SEO-focused role.
• Strong understanding of SEO trends and techniques.
• Experience in B2B SEO and digital marketing strategy.
• Prior experience in an agency setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Moz SEO, Webmaster tools, Google Analytics).
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Analytical thinking with strong math skills.
• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field
