Technician Mechanical (Static) - Georgia

Job Purpose: Operate and maintain field equipment in a Nitric Acid manufacturing plant, ensuring safe and efficient production. Collaborate with the production team, execute routine checks, and respond to alarms promptly. Adhere to safety protocols, conduct preventive maintenance, and contribute to the overall reliability of plant operations.

Core Responsibilities

1. Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment in a Nitric Acid manufacturing plant, ensuring optimal functionality.

2. Execute preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and contribute to the reliability of mechanical equipment.

3. Participate in equipment inspections, identify issues, and collaborate with the maintenance team for timely resolutions.

4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to ensure proper documentation.

5. Should be able to identify and resolve mechanical faults.

6. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.

7. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of mechanical equipment.

8. Participate in executing equipment overhauls and shutdown activities.

9. Coordinate with the stores team for spare parts and ensure their availability. In case of non-availability raise request.

10. Fitting of flanges, alignment of pumps, vessel casing, conveyor belts, nozzles orientation checking.

11. Experience of erection of the material.

12. Fabrication of structure, platform and railings, staircase etc.

13. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

14. Knowledge of codes and standards.

15. Checking of Welding and NDT procedures.

16. Certify the running bills of contractors.

17. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

18. Participate in RCA and energy reduction action and task.

19. Maintaining housekeeping and safe environment in the plant

20. Providing training to new operators / technicians
