Technician Mechanical (Rotary) - Georgia

Job Purpose:

Execute maintenance and repair tasks on rotary equipment in a Nitric Acid manufacturing plant, ensuring continuous and safe operation. Coordinate with the maintenance team, conduct routine inspections, and contribute to minimizing downtime. Adhere to safety and quality standards, maintain accurate records, and actively participate in equipment overhauls and shutdown activities.

Core Responsibilities

1. Perform routine/preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on rotary equipment in a Nitric Acid manufacturing plant to ensure continuous and efficient operation.

2. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities on pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotary machinery.

3. Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address mechanical issues

4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards during maintenance activities.

5. Should be able to identify and resolve mechanical faults.

6. Experience of alignment of pumps, gear boxes, coupling, motors, belt alignment, mater alignment of turbine etc.

7. Experience of erection of the pumps, turbine, compressor etc..

8. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

9. Participate in executing equipment overhauls and shutdown activities.

10. Coordinate with the stores team for spare parts and ensure their availability. In case of non-availability, raise request.

11. Knowledge of codes and standards.

12. Checking of Welding and NDT procedures.

13. Certify the running bills of contractors.

14. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

15. Participate in RCA and energy reduction action and task.

16. Maintaining housekeeping and safe environment in the plant

17. Providing training to new operators.
