Oracle Technical Consultant - Hyperion Planning/Essbase (4-7 yrs)

Key relationships :

As part of the Finance Technology team, you will be collaborating closely with all team members, working with UK, India, and SA Finance teams, as well as key business stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships across the Digital and Technology community and leverage knowledge and capabilities to drive effective outcomes.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will work alongside the Finance Technology Platform owner to ensure that Finance, client segments, operations and other key enablement functions and tech work collaboratively towards a shared vision and shared objectives.

Description of role and key responsibilities :

- Working with applications such as Hyperion Planning and Essbase 11.2, MS SQL, SSIS, Control M, Oracle Cloud, Service Now

- Maintaining, developing, and enhancing complex Planning and Essbase applications and associated processes to support financial planning and reporting and ensure they meet changing needs.

- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation and the application of best practice, and the implementation thereof.

- Testing and debugging application processes to ensure they function properly and meet user requirements.

- Ensure data and metadata accuracy and completeness across all associated finance applications.

- Troubleshoot complex issues with applications and work with end users and team members to resolve issues.

- Collaborating with finance and tax teams to understand their needs and requirements for technology solutions.

- Provide guidance and support to end users and other team members.

- Integrating technology solutions with other systems and applications used by the organization.

- Maintaining and updating applications to ensure they remain up-to-date and meet changing user needs.

- Providing technical support to finance teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues with technology solutions.

- Performing and monitoring the interfacing of data with other internal systems (including actual, budget and forecast roll forward processes).

Core skills and knowledge :

- Strong technical skills, with experience in financial systems and software previous experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase, MS SQL, Control M, Power BI, Azure highly desirable.

- Experienced with the support and enhancement of processes involved in the Finance function.

- Fundamental understanding of Financial Reporting, Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting processes and functions.

- Along with Financial Consolidation and the month end close processes.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with great attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly collaborative nature.

- Flexible and able to adjust to change in priorities in a highly dynamic environment.

- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams.

- Familiarity with helpdesk function and user support role with demonstrated internal client interaction experience.
