Oracle EPM Consultant - Hyperion Planning Module (7-10 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EPM Lead/Developer - Planning to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and delivering successful implementations of Hyperion Planning solutions for our clients. You will play a key role in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering and solution design to implementation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead Implementation :

- Drive the successful implementation of Hyperion Planning projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and project timelines.

Requirements Gathering & Solution Design :

- Elicit and document detailed business requirements from clients.

- Analyze business needs and translate them into effective and efficient Hyperion Planning solutions.

- Develop and present solution designs, including architecture diagrams, data flows, and user interfaces.

Technical Expertise :

- Possess in-depth knowledge of Hyperion Planning/PBCS/EPBCS functionalities, including data modeling, calculations, data loading, security, and integrations.

- Strong understanding of financial planning concepts and best practices, including P&L, BS, Workforce, Capex planning, and interdependencies.

- Hands-on experience with Planning Modules is mandatory.

Development & Configuration :

- Develop and configure Hyperion Planning applications, including data forms, business rules, calculations, data loads, and reports.

- Perform unit testing and system integration testing to ensure solution quality.

Data Migration :

- Plan and execute data migration activities, including data cleansing, transformation, and loading.

Training & Support :

- Provide training and support to end-users on Hyperion Planning functionalities.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Project Management :

- Contribute to project planning and execution, including resource allocation, risk management, and issue resolution.

Communication & Collaboration :

- Effectively communicate with clients, project stakeholders, and team members.

- Collaborate effectively with other teams, including IT, business analysts, and project managers.

Architecture & Design :

- Function as the applications design architect/lead for Hyperion Planning and Essbase application development.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for Planning and Essbase Analyst Teams regarding application design.

- Analyze and provide solutions to existing architecture designs on the current system.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7+ years of experience in implementing Hyperion Planning with a strong focus on application development.

- Proven experience in all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation and support.

- Strong understanding of financial planning concepts and best practices, including P&L, BS, Workforce, Capex planning, and interdependencies.

- In-depth knowledge of Hyperion Planning functionalities, including Business Rules, Forms, Task Lists, and Reports.

- Hands-on experience with Planning Modules is mandatory.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with other Oracle EPM products (e.g., Hyperion DRM, Financial Close, Essbase)

- Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Hyperion Certified Implementation Specialist)
