ETL Automation Tester - Functional/Regression Testing (5-6 yrs)

About the Role :

- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ETL Automation Tester to join our Data Engineering team.

- As a Senior ETL Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data pipelines by developing and executing robust automated tests.

- You will be responsible for validating the accuracy, completeness, and performance of data transformations and ensuring data integrity throughout the ETL process.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes.

- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of ETL pipelines.

- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across the entire data pipeline.

- Perform data profiling and quality checks to identify and address data anomalies.

- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using appropriate testing tools.

- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Analyze test results, identify and log defects, and track their resolution.

- Analyze source and target data to identify data quality issues and discrepancies.

- Perform root cause analysis of data quality problems and recommend corrective actions.

- Utilize SQL and other data analysis tools to validate data transformations and identify data inconsistencies.

- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data modeling.

- Experience with data warehousing architectures and data integration methodologies.

- Knowledge of data sources, data formats, and data transformation techniques.

- Collaborate effectively with data engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders.

- Communicate test results and findings effectively to the team.

- Participate in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and contribute to team discussions.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- 5+ years of experience in ETL testing or a related data testing role.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Redshift, MySQL).

- Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Experience with data profiling and data quality analysis.

- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
