Amagi Media - IT Support Engineer (4-6 yrs)

Job Description :

- Provide guidance, training, and support to less experienced team members.

- Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes.

- Share expertise and best practices with the team.

- Collaborate with architects and project managers to design scalable and efficient video streaming solutions.

- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and tools to improve the team's capabilities.

- Provide technical support to customers and address their issues promptly.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

- Assist in the onboarding process for new customers.

- Identify opportunities to improve the team's workflows and efficiency.

- Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for processes and procedures.

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

- Coordinate closely with Onboarding project managers and external stakeholders (Development/Testing teams).

- Debug issues and proactively find solutions in collaboration with Tech Leads, Customer/Platform Teams, and internal Devops or Engineering Teams.

- Understand Amagi products in depth.

- Participate in external communications (customer calls) to gather specific requirements.

Technical Implementation :

- Configure encoders (Zixi/ZenMaster, SRT Gateway, Ateme, AWSMedialive).

- Configure CDNs (Cloudfront, Limelight, EdgeCast, Akamai).

- Configure SSAI systems (Amagi Thunderstorm V1 and V2).

- Generate and configure Ad Tags.

- Create and manage AWS networks (VPC creation and peering, security groups).

Required Skills and Experience :

- Extensive knowledge of stream delivery to OTT platforms using HLS/DASH encoders, CDNs, and SSAI systems.

- Expertise in stream delivery over internet technologies (SRT, Zixi, HLS, DASH).

- In-depth knowledge of AWS media services (Medialive, Mediastore, MediaTailor).

- Experience with various CDNs (Akamai, Cloudfront, Limelight).

- Proficiency in Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI) technologies and VAST ad querying.

- Prior experience with SSAI systems like Yospace or Mediatailor.

- Understanding of EPG systems.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of various video codecs and standards.

- Fundamental understanding of playout systems.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with automation tools (e.g., scripting).

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

- Advanced understanding of video streaming protocols and technologies.
