Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Windows Server Administration, Microsoft SQL Server, and Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V & VMware) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure while ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems.
1. Windows Server Administration & Management:
- Install, configure, and manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 in enterprise environments.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File Services .
- Implement Windows security hardening, patch management, and compliance policies .
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, OS, and network issues .
- Manage and maintain Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
- Deploy and optimize virtual machines (VMs), templates, and snapshots .
- Implement and maintain VM clustering, load balancing, and failover .
- Work with Azure/AWS cloud environments for hybrid cloud integrations.
- Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 databases.
- Perform database tuning, indexing, backup, and recovery for high availability.
- Implement SQL clustering, mirroring, and Always On availability groups .
- Optimize database security with RBAC, encryption, and auditing .
- Monitor Infrastructure health using SCOM, SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar tools .
- Automate server provisioning and patching using PowerShell, Ansible, or SCCM .
- Maintain disaster recovery (DR) strategies with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault).
- Ensure infrastructure security compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks .
- Implement Windows Firewall, Endpoint Protection, and security best practices .
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation for servers and databases .
- Maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and runbooks .
- Work closely with DBAs, Network, and Cloud teams for infrastructure optimization.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering and Windows administration.
Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, and Group Policy .
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and tuning .
Strong knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualization.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation .
Experience with backup, DR, and high-availability solutions .
Certifications: MCSE, MCSA, VCP, Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps.
Experience with Azure Virtual Machines and AWS EC2 .
Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes) .
Familiarity with SAN storage solutions and networking .
