Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly technical self-directed cyber security engineer with deep expertise in SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS on Azure platforms. This person should have a deep passion for driving security at multiple levels of the technology stack and crafting novel solutions to difficult or pervasive security issues that affect users directly. The ideal security engineer candidate should also be comfortable with a vast array of disparate technologies and fully understood techniques used to secure a sophisticated engineering environment. 

Job Responsibilities:   

• Design, implement, and manage Azure virtual networks, subnets, and routing configurations. 
  

• Configure and maintain Azure network security groups, firewalls, and VPN gateways. 
  

• Collaborate with other teams to integrate Azure networking solutions into the overall architecture. 
  

• Evaluate and recommend network-related Azure services to enhance performance and security. 
  

• Create and maintain security documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures. 
  

• Stay updated with the latest Azure security technologies and industry best practices. 
  

• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments on Azure resources and applications. 
  

• Implement and manage Azure policies and compliance standards to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2). 
  

• Monitor Azure environments for security threats and anomalies, responding to security incidents and performing forensic investigations when necessary. 
  

• Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline and application lifecycle. 
  

• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures. 
  

• Stay updated with the latest Azure security tools, technologies, and industry trends. 
  

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  

• Strong experience in designing and implementing Azure networking solutions. 
  

• Proficiency in Azure networking services like Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, etc. 
  

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other networking protocols and services. 
  

• Hands-on experience with network security practices and tools in Azure environments. 
  

• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-700, AZ-104, AZ-500, Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, CISSP, or other security certifications) would be a plus. 
  

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  

• Extensive experience in Azure security and a strong understanding of Azure services and infrastructure. 
  

• Hands-on experience with Azure security tools such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, Azure Key Vault, Azure Sentinel, etc. 
  

• Proficiency in security assessments, penetration testing tools, and vulnerability management in Azure environments. 
  

• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and experience implementing security controls to meet regulatory requirements. 
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
