Job Summary:
The Refractory Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of refractory works, insulation works (hot cold), and in-situ casting of cold insulation in industrial projects. The engineer will ensure refractory materials and insulation systems are installed per project requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Refractory Insulation Work Execution
Supervise and execute refractory installation, repair, and maintenance in industrial furnaces, kilns, boilers, and other high-temperature equipment.
Plan and oversee hot cold insulation works including pipelines, equipment, and structures.
Ensure correct application of in-situ casting of cold insulation techniques.
Select appropriate refractory materials such as fire bricks, castables, ceramic fiber, and insulating concretes based on project needs.
2. Project Coordination Supervision
Lead and monitor insulation and refractory teams for quality and safety compliance.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to meet project timelines.
Ensure adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements .
3. Quality Control Inspection
Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper refractory installation and insulation application.
Identify defects or failures in refractory linings and insulation systems and recommend corrective measures.
Ensure work aligns with international refractory and insulation standards (ASTM, API, ISO, BS).
4. Safety Risk Management
Enforce safety protocols for refractory works, hot cold insulation , and in-situ casting processes.
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks with workers.
5. Documentation Reporting
Maintain records of materials, labor, and project progress.
Prepare technical reports, work completion certificates, and inspection documentation.
Communicate project updates to management and clients.

Education:
B.Tech/BE in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (Minimum 3 years of experience) .
