Job Summary:
The Insulation Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising insulation works, including hot and cold insulation for industrial projects. The engineer must have hands-on experience with in-situ casting of cold insulation and ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Insulation Work Execution:
Plan and oversee insulation projects, including hot and cold insulation for pipelines, equipment, and structures.
Ensure proper in-situ casting of cold insulation for industrial applications.
Select and apply appropriate insulation materials such as polyurethane, phenolic foam, mineral wool, and glass wool.
Project Coordination Supervision:
Supervise insulation installation teams and ensure quality workmanship.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to align insulation work with project timelines.
Inspect insulation work to verify compliance with engineering standards and client specifications.
Technical Expertise Quality Control:
Review and interpret insulation drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
Conduct site inspections and ensure materials meet project requirements.
Troubleshoot insulation defects and implement corrective actions.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
Ensure insulation works comply with safety standards and best practices.
Implement proper HSE guidelines and risk mitigation strategies for insulation-related activities.
Documentation Reporting:
Maintain records of insulation materials, labor, and work progress.
Prepare technical reports and provide updates to management and clients.
Required Qualifications Skills:
Education:
B.Tech/BE in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (minimum 3 years of experience)
Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (minimum 6 years of experience)
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of hot cold insulation techniques .
Hands-on experience in in-situ casting of cold insulation .
Proficiency in insulation materials such as PIR, PUR, cellular glass, rock wool, etc.
Ability to read and interpret insulation drawings and specifications.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience:
Prior work experience in oil gas, petrochemical, power plants, or industrial projects.
Familiarity with international insulation standards such as ASTM, ISO, and BS codes.
