IndusInd Bank - Lead AI Scientist - NLP/Generative AI (4-6 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

You will be working on creating applied AI products across risk and marketing, assets and liabilities within the bank. It will entail understanding business problem, data and then ideation, creation, usage, impact assessment and presentation to senior stakeholders.

We are looking for sound understanding of AI/ ML techniques, strong business acumen, ability to simplify complexity and navigate through large/ big data.

Qualifications :

- Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics or Machine Learning/AI related disciplines from Tier I colleges.

- PhD is preferred but not compulsory

- Proficiency in GenAI, deep learning, NLP, CV and ML frameworks, other AI disciplines

- 3-4 years hands-on code development experience and familiarity with the python scientific computing stacks, Linux and cloud computing environment

- Solid understanding of Probability, Statistics, Mathematics, ML and AI techniques

- Experience implementing machine learning algorithms or research papers from scratch

- Experience in project/ product management would be a plus

- Experience in Financial Sector would be a plus.

About the team :

- You will be part of AI Centre of Excellence within Digital Banking Unit of the bank.

- You will work in a fast paced environment where new ideas are encouraged. This will involve liaising with teams within Digital and those across the bank e.g. data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, product managers and senior business stakeholders.

The mandate of the Digital Business Unit at IndusInd Bank is as follows :

- Building customer centric products with human centered design principles for retail Individual and micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) customer segments

- Build innovative products and propositions backed with problem solving mindset to discover and solve latent needs of customers

- Build Embedded Finance (Banking as a Service) applications

- Ensure designs are highly available, highly modular, highly scalable and highly secure

- Drive digital business

The unit's objectives are three fold - (a) Drive better customer experience and engagement (b) transform existing lines of businesses and (c) build new digital only or banking as a service led digital business models.
