Network Engineer-L3

Project Scope:

Vodafone Idea Ltd intends to deploy IP transport product (Juniper Routers) in Access & Pre-Agg layer of CEN domain in the VIL network. As part of this project, every circle will eventually run on single vendor s deployment. LDP/SR would be used for IP transport for this project. The goal of this project is network expansion and IPfication (SDH/PTN to IP) along with changes in IP transport toward SR-MPLS implementation. We are looking for SP-IP engineer L3 to join our team on-site at Pune.

Job Description for L3 NOC Engineer:

Lead candidate should be able to gather IP to IP, Transmission to IP devices services migration requirements and scoping from Juniper Team, Vodafone central IP Planning team, Circle IP Planning team & Transmission team. Understand high-level, low-level design, architecture assessment, Mobility & Enterprise services running in VIL network.

• Translate requirements into prepare migrations plan. Proposed Access Ring, Pre-Agg Ring topology, Development of Method of procedure, configuration scripts inline with HLD/LLD developed by Juniper PS.
• Being HPE-Juniper IP/MPLS based network consultant representative
• Present and Review migration plan to VIL
• Maintain deep hands-on technical expertise to assist L1-L2 technical team in resolving issues in production environments in high-pressure situations.

Key skills and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should have work experience with most or all the following (minimum 10+ years relevant work experience in service provider environment):

Experience delivering professional services including network strategy, implementation:

• Expert level Hands-on experience on Juniper MX & ACX series hardware platform & Junos architecture.
• Expert level Hands-on experience of the Junos Routing policies architecture
• Expert level knowledge of IP/MPLS Networking, Routing protocols (IS-IS, BGP-LU), MPLS technologies cols (LDP, RSVP-TE), Segment Routing, L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN, VRF implementation. Strong knowledge of QoS and Multicast.
• Expert level Hands-on experience including migration plan, deploy, troubleshooting and fault-finding of routing protocols (IS-IS, BGP-LU), signaling protocols (LDP, RSVP-TE), Segment Routing, QoS, L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN, VRF during implementation and post implementation.
• Support L1/L2 engineers for installation and commissioning. Till final HOTO acceptance.
• Hands-on experience on cross vendor platform such as Cisco, ZTE, Nokia platform for the IP-to-IP migration planning and development of method of procedure and executions in live environments.
• Collaboration and work closely with Transmission (PTN/NPT) planning team for the service migration such as VPLS, Mobility services to IP (New Juniper ACX Routers) and MOP development according to running services in live environments.
• On-Call availability to assist team for escalated P1/P2 incidents
• VIL SNOC visit may be required for critical migration and escalated incidents.
• Bachelor s degree in Electronics & communications Engineering
• Certifications such as JNCIE-SP Certified, CCIE-SP Certified
