Job Description
Job Role:
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, deployment, and maintenance of ACCESS (SWITCHES / ROUTERS / GPON / DWDM / OTN / PTN / SDH / MSAN / PRI)-based fiber-optic networks. Their role involves managing technical teams, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.
- Manage end-to-end ACCESS (SWITCHES / ROUTERS / GPON / DWDM / OTN / PTN / SDH / MSAN / PRI) deployment, including OLT (Optical Line Terminal), ONT (Optical Network Terminal), and fiber distribution networks.
- Preventive Maintenance Activities.
- Cross-functional coordination.
- Technical Oversight:
- Ensure proper design and configuration of ACCESS (SWITCHES / ROUTERS / GPON / DWDM / OTN / PTN / SDH / MSAN / PRI) architecture.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for network planning, provisioning, and optimization.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to ACCESS (SWITCHES / ROUTERS / GPON / DWDM / OTN / PTN / SDH / MSAN / PRI) deployment and service activation.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with ISPs, telecom operators, and government agencies for approvals and compliance.
- Liaise with equipment vendors (Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, etc.) for procurement and technical support.
- Engage with internal teams like NOC, field operations, and customer support.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to telecom regulatory standards and best practices.
- Conduct quality checks on fiber splicing, signal strength, and overall ACCESS (SWITCHES / ROUTERS / GPON / DWDM / OTN / PTN / SDH / MSAN / PRI) network health.
- Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure.
- Budget & Risk Management:
- Manage project budget and control costs.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Optimize resource allocation and workforce management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in ACCESS (SWITCHES / ROUTERS / GPON / DWDM / OTN / PTN / SDH / MSAN / PRI), FTTH (Fiber to the Home), fiber-optic transmission, and network protocols.
- Suitable Diploma / BE / B-Tech.
- Project Management: Experience with PMP or PRINCE2 methodologies.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle complex network issues and ensure service continuity.
- Communication: Strong skills in stakeholder management and team leadership.
Experience: Typically 10+ years in telecom networking, network deployment, and ISP project management.
