Job Description
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator with a strong background in networking to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our organizations systems and networks. This role involves a combination of system administration tasks and networking responsibilities, requiring a deep understanding of both disciplines.
Responsibilities :
1.System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Ensure data backup and disaster recovery strategies are in place and effectively implemented.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions or vulnerabilities.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Automate repetitive tasks to streamline processes and improve efficiency
2. Network Administration:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Monitor network performance and optimize network traffic for maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot network problems and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Ensure network security by implementing appropriate access controls and security protocols.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate systems and networks effectively.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Generate regular reports on system and network performance, security, and availability.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve systems and network infrastructure.
Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator with a focus on networking.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software (Cisco).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
