Profile Summary:


The Director of Revenue Management will be a strategic leader responsible for optimizing the company's revenue streams, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (specifically IND AS 115), and driving continuous improvement in revenue assurance and financial reporting. This role demands a proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset, deep understanding of revenue recognition principles, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:


Revenue Recognition & Compliance:


  • Contract Review & Compliance: Conduct thorough reviews of customer contracts to ensure accurate revenue booking in accordance with IND AS 115 and other applicable accounting standards.
  • Revenue Recognition Expertise: Provide expert guidance on revenue recognition principles for diverse project types, ensuring accurate and timely accounting and booking of revenues.
  • Provision Management: Account for and manage provisions related to discounts, warranties, and other contract-related risks and liabilities, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Revenue Assurance & Control:


  • Revenue Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue assurance strategy to identify, prevent, and mitigate revenue leakage across all revenue streams.
  • Control Evaluation & Gap Analysis: Evaluate existing revenue controls, conduct gap analyses, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and address revenue risks and potential revenue leakage, implementing robust processes to audit internal controls across the entire revenue cycle.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:


  • Key Revenue Schedules: Maintain and enhance key revenue schedules, including deferred, unearned, and unbilled receivables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Performance Dashboards & Reporting: Develop and manage performance dashboards related to revenue, utilization, and revenue flash reports, providing insightful analysis to senior management.
  • Exception Reporting & MIS: Generate and deliver accurate and timely exception reports and management information systems (MIS) to senior management, including key revenue-related metrics and KPIs.
  • Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate monthly revenue, receivables, cash flow, and customer collections forecasts.
  • Accounts Receivable & Collections: Develop and implement analytics and reporting for accounts receivables and collections, driving efficiency and minimizing risk.
  • WIP & DSO Management: Ensure work-in-progress (WIP) is maintained at a minimum level and drive initiatives to achieve targeted unbilled Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

Customer Management & Credit Risk:


  • Customer Profile Management: Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date customer profiles and databases, including credit risk and credit limits information.
  • Credit Risk Analysis: Conduct historical studies of customers by analyzing financial developments and comparing industry and company statistics to assess credit risk.

Audit & Compliance:


  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors, managing audits and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Invoice Progress & Credit Notes: Monitor invoice progress and manage credit notes efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA/CA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior revenue management role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding of revenue recognition principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management.
