Role & responsibilities
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Track project progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful delivery within the specified timeframe and budget.
Oversee the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring that best practices are followed at each phase, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth execution of Agile or Waterfall methodologies, depending on project needs.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to meet project goals.
Provide clear direction, manage tasks, and facilitate communication within the team to ensure the project progresses smoothly.
Support team members by identifying and removing obstacles to maintain focus and productivity.
Plan and manage resources effectively, ensuring that project tasks are appropriately assigned to team members with the right skills.
Track project expenditures, keeping the project within budget and ensuring financial accountability.
Identify potential risks or issues early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or scope creep.
Proactively resolve project-related challenges and escalate issues when necessary to ensure that the project stays on track.
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, progress, risks, and achievements.
Gather and document stakeholder requirements, ensuring that business needs are fully understood and met.
Ensure transparency and manage stakeholder expectations by providing timely updates and addressing concerns.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
6-10 years of experience as a Project Manager in software development, with hands-on experience managing application development projects.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience applying Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, Asana).
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Proven ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and lead the team through challenges while maintaining focus on project goals.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
