Junior Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The work location shall be in any of the site (coastal locations) in India. The selected candidates may be deputed to a site which can be port, fishing harbour or so on for monitoring the work.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Supervise works and approve the materials and workmanship of the site work.

B. Review material testing results and designs.

C. Review and ensure that the construction work is carried out by the specification and standards according to good industry practice and as per schedule.

D. Check and certify all requests for advances, all monthly bills and interim bills, escalation bills excess/extra/substitute items of work and the final bill of the contractor.

E. Scrutinize and advise upon the claims raised by the contractor if any.

General Instructions to the candidates

1) All the positions are on a purely contract/adhoc basis.

2) The completion of the period of the contract will not confer any right for further extension, regularization, or permanency at the Institute.
