Job Description

Role & responsibilities

A Principal is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the institute, overseeing academic operations, faculty management, student development, industry collaborations, and ensuring the institute maintains high standards of management education, with a focus on delivering quality programs and fostering a conducive learning environment for students; requiring a strong background in management principles, academic administration, and proven leadership skills to achieve the institute's vision and goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with industry needs and market trends to guide the institute's growth and development.
    • Set clear academic goals and objectives, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Lead the development and review of curriculum, ensuring relevance to industry demands and alignment with accreditation standards.
  • Academic Operations:
    • Oversee the day-to-day academic operations, including course scheduling, faculty assignments, student evaluations, and program delivery.
    • Foster a culture of academic excellence by encouraging research, publications, and faculty development initiatives.
    • Monitor student performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary interventions.
  • Faculty Management:
    • Recruit, retain, and develop high-quality faculty with expertise in various management disciplines.
    • Evaluate faculty performance regularly and provide feedback to enhance teaching effectiveness.
    • Facilitate collaboration among faculty members to foster cross-disciplinary learning and research initiatives.
  • Student Development:
    • Promote a holistic student experience by facilitating career counseling, mentorship programs, and industry exposure opportunities.
    • Encourage student engagement in extracurricular activities, clubs, and leadership roles to enhance their overall development.
    • Address student concerns and provide support to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Industry Collaborations:
    • Build strong relationships with industry partners to establish internship opportunities, guest lectures, and research collaborations.
    • Develop customized training programs to meet specific industry needs.
    • Seek funding opportunities from industry partners to support research and innovation initiatives.
  • Administrative Oversight:
    • Manage the institute's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and compliance with financial regulations.
    • Oversee administrative functions including admissions, student records, facilities management, and compliance with statutory requirements.
    • Represent the institute at external events, conferences, and industry gatherings.

  • Teaching and Training:

* Responsible for providing training sessions.

* Conducting lectures for marketing and general management.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PHD. in management/ Marketing with a strong academic background in business disciplines.
  • Extensive experience in higher education leadership roles, preferably in a management institute.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team of faculty and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Must have experience in dealing with universities.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to develop and execute effective plans.
  • Proven track record of building industry collaborations and securing external funding.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory compliance within the higher education sector.
