Hiring Payments Specialist (CA or Relevantly Qualified)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payments Specialist with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in international accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial processing of transactions, including vendor communication, reconciling, and verifying invoices specific to the operations team. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Trial Payment Processing:
• Manage and support the processing of trial payments, ensuring accurate reconciliation of payment transactions, including handling returned or rejected payments.
• Internal Tracker Updates:
• Maintain and update internal trackers to ensure oversight on payment processing remains current and accurate across teams.
• Accounts Payable Support:
• Assist the Accounts Payable team in creating accounts and purchase orders (POs) for trial vendors, including trial sites, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently.
• Audit Support:
• Collaborate with Operations and Accounts Payable during annual audits by providing necessary support, documentation, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures (including SOC 1 compliance).
• Customer Service:
• Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, including vendors, facilities, and colleagues, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Additional Projects:
• Participate in various projects and tasks as assigned, providing analytical support as needed to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Educational Background:
• CA or a relevant degree in finance or accounting is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

• Experience:
• A minimum of 4 years of payment experience in international accounting is required. Familiarity with financial processing in a global context is essential.

• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet analysis is required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail is essential.
• Familiarity with financial software such as Mineral Tree, Coupa, SAP, and NetSuite is preferred.

• Organizational Skills:

• Communication Skills:
• Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with all levels of staff and promote a collaborative team spirit.
