Senior Executive Accounts Payable (Finance & Operations)

Job Summary:

The Senior Executive Accounts Payable will be responsible for managing the full cycle of the accounts payable process, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payments, and other related financial transactions. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing:

Receive, review, and verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.

Ensure timely processing of invoices in the accounting system.

Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.

Payments:

Prepare and process payment runs (including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments).

Ensure payments are made within agreed terms.

Reconcile vendor statements and address any payment-related issues.

Vendor Management:

Maintain accurate vendor records in the accounting system.

Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.

Establish and maintain good relationships with vendors.

Reconciliation & Reporting:

Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable subledger to the general ledger.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Generate reports on accounts payable activity, aging, and cash outflows.

Compliance & Controls:

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.

Assist in audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.

Identify areas for improvement in the AP process and implement solutions for enhanced efficiency.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with procurement, treasury, and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

Assist with other accounting tasks as needed, including data entry, filing, and administrative support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience: 4-7 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and accounts payable processes.

Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Soft Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication and interpersonal
