Synopsis:
As the Outbound Sales leader, you will lead a team of outbound sales executives focused on
generating new business and driving revenue growth in the B2B EdTech sector. You will be
responsible for developing strategies, coaching and mentoring the sales team, managing
high-value client relationships, and overseeing the entire sales processfrom prospecting to
closing. This is a leadership role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on management
to ensure the team meets its targets and expands our market presence.
A Day in Your Life:
Team Leadership and Management:
● Lead, coach, and mentor the outbound sales team, helping them meet and exceed their
targets.
● Develop individual performance plans and provide regular feedback, training, and
development opportunities to the team.
● Set clear KPIs and monitor performance through regular one-on-ones, team meetings,
and pipeline reviews.
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
● Identify and target potential clients in the education sector (schools, universities,
corporate learning departments, etc.) through outbound calls, emails, and networking.
● Conduct thorough research to understand potential clients' needs, challenges, and
decision-making processes.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, consistently meeting or exceeding
activity targets.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
● Develop and implement an outbound sales strategy that aligns with company growth
goals and market expansion.
● Identify new business opportunities in the education sector and lead high-level
prospecting efforts.
● Design and implement sales processes that ensure the efficient execution of the sales
cyclefrom prospecting to negotiation and closure.
● Ensure a balance between short-term wins and long-term relationship building.
Revenue Growth and Target Achievement:
● Own and drive the teams performance toward achieving monthly and quarterly revenue
targets.
● Work closely with the marketing and product teams to develop strategies for lead
generation, customer engagement, and product-market fit.
● Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and adjust strategies as
necessary to ensure continued revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management:
● Lead by example in managing key high-value clients and setting a standard for excellence
in customer interactions.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Success, Marketing, and Product) to
ensure seamless client onboarding and ongoing support.
● Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their challenges and proposing solutions
that align with our offerings.
Process Improvement and Reporting:
● Continuously refine the outbound sales process to increase conversion rates, improve
efficiency, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
● Regularly report on sales team performance, forecasts, and pipeline health to senior
leadership.
● Oversee the use of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage pipeline, performance
metrics, and client interactions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
● Work closely with senior leadership to align the sales strategy with the companys overall
objectives.
● Provide market insights and feedback to the product and marketing teams to ensure our
solutions remain competitive and relevant.
Skills in the spotlight:
Experience:
● 7+ years of experience in outbound sales, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or
management role, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or B2B services.
● Proven track record of leading a sales team to consistently achieve or exceed revenue
targets.
● Experience in selling to educational institutions, corporate training departments, or other
learning-focused organizations is a strong advantage.
Skills:
● Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and
develop high-performing teams.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and
influence senior decision-makers.
● Expertise in outbound sales techniques, including cold calling, email marketing, and lead
qualification.
● Exceptional prospecting and lead generation skills with a focus on outbound sales
techniques (cold calling, email marketing, etc.).
● Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
● Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales performance tracking tools.
