Job Description: Revenue Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Management and Analysis:
- Compile, analyze, and monitor actual sales against projections to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Conduct period-end analysis to evaluate sales performance, forecast demand, and identify future need periods or obstacles.
- Perform revenue management reporting and critiques, delivering actionable insights for forecasting and targeting need areas.
- Utilize demand forecasting and reservations systems to develop and implement effective pricing and selling strategies.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date reservation system information to enhance automation and maintain data integrity.
- Conduct system maintenance tasks, including managing rate hurdles, updating forecasts, and monitoring demand.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with CBO and business operation team to align revenue management strategies with market conditions and brand objectives.
- Prepare and lead sales strategy meetings, including critiques, findings, and actionable recommendations.
- Explore and implement innovative opportunities to drive profit and improve revenue management processes.
- Manage inventory to optimize cluster rooms revenue and align with demand trends.
- Ensure sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
Sales and Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain key corporate accounts and identify new corporate clientele opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales plans and targets through effective sales programs.
- Coach and mentor junior team members on sales techniques, revenue tools, and strategies.
- Act as a liaison between the property and corporate or regional system support teams.
Systems and Reporting:
- Accurately generate and maintain reports for revenue management, forecasting, and sales analysis.
- Perform rate loading tasks to ensure rate parity and availability across all distribution channels.
- Regularly update pricing to align with market demand and ensure accurate positioning across online travel agencies (OTAs) and other channels.
- Monitor competitor positioning and ensure accurate distribution channel content.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-graduation from tier-1 college/university.
- Should have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in revenue management (in hotel industry).
- Proficient in revenue management tools and systems (e.g., forecasting systems, reservations platforms).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and drive innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
