QS Executive (Interior)

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Manager with expertise in interior fit-out projects. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to oversee the financial and contractual aspects of our projects, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in quantity surveying, cost management, and contract administration within the interior fit-out industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Cost Management:

• Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, ensuring adherence to allocated costs and profitability.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and conduct feasibility studies to forecast project budgets.
• Tendering and Procurement:
• Lead the tendering process, including preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), analyzing bids, and recommending contractors and suppliers.
• Negotiate and procure materials, services, and subcontractors to ensure optimal cost efficiency and quality.
• Contract Administration:
• Draft, review, and manage contracts to align with company and client requirements.
• Handle contract negotiations, change orders, and variations, ensuring alignment with project scope and budget.
• Resolve contractual disputes effectively and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Cost Control and Financial Reporting:
• Implement cost control measures to manage project expenses within budgets.
• Prepare regular financial reports, including cost-to-completion forecasts, and update project stakeholders on budget status.
• Site Coordination and Progress Monitoring:
• Collaborate closely with the project and site teams to monitor project progress, ensuring financial aspects align with the project timeline.
• Conduct site visits to assess work progress, measure completed work, and validate contractor claims.
• Risk Management and Compliance:
• Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks within the project.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
• Budget Development and Management:
• Prepare project cost plans, forecasts, and budgets in collaboration with project managers.
• Monitor expenses, ensuring alignment with approved budgets, and report on budgetary compliance.
• Cost Estimation and Bill of Quantities (BOQ):
• Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs for tenders, ensuring detailed and precise cost estimates.
• Review and adjust BOQs to accommodate design changes or material substitutions.
• Supplier and Subcontractor Management:
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee procurement activities and manage supplier relationships, maintaining quality standards and budget alignment.
• Cost Control and Value Engineering:
• Implement value engineering techniques to optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Assess ongoing project expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Contract Review and Administration:
• Prepare and review contracts, ensuring they meet company and project-specific standards.
• Administer contracts, including claims management, change orders, and variation management, keeping track of budget implications.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain detailed records of project costs, contracts, and variations.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including cash flow projections and cost-to-completion updates, for senior management.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Mentor and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training, and promote team growth.
