JOB PURPOSE:

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Platform Manager to join our dynamic team.

The role is part of the Technology Platform team.

The newly created Ice Cream Technology function will drive the technology set-up, standalone design and implementation of all required technology capabilities to enable Unilever s Ice Cream business to become a fully functioning standalone company, separate from Unilever.

The Cloud Infrastructure Platform Manager will lead a team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to meet the organizations needs. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure, and provides strategic direction for cloud adoption and optimization.

The successful candidate will be one that has significant IT expertise with a proven record of leading a highly skilled and motivated team, large-scale transformations and has a passion for building world class IT teams, E2E technical architecture that make a meaningful impact. The candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to innovate with AI to drive autonomous AI solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and Architecture: Develop and implement cloud architecture solutions that are secure, scalable, highly automated and cost-effective.

• Cloud Strategy and Governance: Define and execute the organization s cloud strategy, including governance policies, migration plans, cloud service selection and tooling for example for Infrastructure as Code and automating workflows. Manage relationships with the public cloud providers.

• Infrastructure Management: Provision and scale resources to meet demands. Monitor usage patterns and optimize the performance of cloud infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues proactively. Ensure business continuity through the configuration and testing of Backup Solutions and Disaster Recovery plans.

• Innovation: Research and promote emerging services or features with particular emphasis on Autonomous AI evaluating potential benefit to the organisation.

• Cloud Financial Operations: Oversee and manage finances with robust cost control strategies, monitoring usage patterns and identifying optimisation opportunities. Drive initiatives to reduce operational costs through automation and rightsizing.

• Project Management: Oversee cloud infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.

• Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud infrastructure solutions comply with industry standards and regulations, implementing best practices for security and data protection.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective cloud solutions.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams, promoting automation, best practices and standards.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Education : Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge in all facets of cloud platform management on public clouds such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, containerization technologies and cloud software tools for Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, monitoring, cloud cost management, cloud migration etc

• Experience: Proven experience in cloud architecture, cloud hosting, and IT infrastructure management.

• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading technical teams.

• Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Security: Expertise in cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
