Job Description
- Network/Data Center Monitoring: Monitor the companys Network/Data Center infrastructure using various network/Data Center monitoring tools like ELK (Elastic Search) and SolarWinds.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve network issues and incidents.
- Data Analysis: Analyze monitoring data and alerts to identify trends and patterns, proactively addressing any issues before they become critical problems.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Documentation: Document incidents and resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, security policies, and best practices.
- On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 network monitoring support.
- Procedure Development: Assist with the development and maintenance of monitoring procedures, protocols, and standards.
- Infrastructure Changes: Participate in the testing and implementation of network infrastructure changes.
- Reporting: Provide reports and updates to senior management on network performance and availability.
- Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of services.
- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in network operations, network engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and architectures.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or similar.
- Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, or similar.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Multitasking: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- IT Service Management: Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 20000, or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
