Job Description
Monitoring the companys Network/Data Center infrastructure using various network/Data Center monitoring tools like ELK (Elastic Search) and Solar wind
Identifying and resolving network issues and incidents
Analyzing monitoring data and alerts to identify trends and patterns and proactively address any issues before they become critical problems
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Documenting incidents and resolutions in a ticketing system
Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, security policies, and best practices
Participating in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 network monitoring support
Assisting with the development and maintenance of monitoring procedures, protocols, and standards
Participating in the testing and implementation of network infrastructure changes
Providing reports and updates to senior management on network performance and availability
Collaborating with vendors and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of services
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
At least 1 year of experience in network operations, network engineering, or a related field
In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and architectures
Experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or similar
Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, or similar
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 20000, or other IT service management frameworks is a plus
Overall, the NOC Monitoring Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the companys network infrastructure
This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
