Regional Manager - Purchase Planning & Operations

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, Lead and Execute purchase strategies across North & West regions for both private
• label goods and traded goods.
• Track and report key metrics- OTIF, availability, sales through rate, and inventory days cover.
• Review and monitor purchases to ensure its compliance with company policies on capital rotation.
• Monitor the delivery process ensuring that the delivery schedule is being executed as planned and adopting corrective measures if found necessary.
• To maintain close co-ordination with the production units and trade vendors for managing vendor to warehouse inventory and also timely allocation to other regions.
• Develop the monthly or quarterly procurement plan on the projected requirements.
• Evaluate vendors to ensure their performance is aligned with standard industry practices.
• Develop and implement contract management with all vendors including purchase and payment
• policies and general terms of trades.
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks of physical inventory damage.

Requirements

• Proven experience to handle high volume and multi category purchase operations across different business verticals (including retail & e-com).
• Working experience of vendor management software and ERO systems.
• Strong ability to gather and analyze data and to work with numbers. Preferably working
• knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advance excel features.
• Ability to lead, make sound judgements and take timely decisions of own function.
• Strong mathematical and statistical skills set.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work across cultures & a pro-active thinker.
