Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team at Schneider Electric in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation testing, particularly using Cucumber and Python, and will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of our software products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborative Testing : Work closely with our software development team to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements, ensuring that test cases are aligned with both functional and non-functional specifications.

- Issue Resolution : Engage with developers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the testing phase, fostering a collaborative environment for problem-solving.

- Test Case Design and Execution : Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scripts to evaluate software functionality, usability, and performance. Utilize automation tools effectively to identify and document defects.

- Regression Testing : Re-execute previously run test cases and scripts to verify the resolution of identified issues, ensuring that software releases meet our quality standards.

- Documentation Maintenance : Maintain detailed and organized test cases, test scripts, test reports, and associated documentation to ensure clarity and traceability throughout the testing lifecycle.

- Agile Participation : Actively participate in Agile-Scrum development processes, providing constructive feedback and suggestions that contribute to continuous improvement in our testing practices and overall project execution.

- Industry Awareness : Stay abreast of the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software testing to enhance personal skill sets and contribute to team knowledge.

Qualifications :

- Proven experience in automation testing with a strong proficiency in Cucumber and Python.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in working within Agile teams.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- A proactive approach to staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in the field of software testing.
