Automation & Manual Testing Engineer - ServiceNow ATF (7-9 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Process Automation & Test Case Development :

- Develop, implement, and execute automated test cases using ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework).

- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to create efficient automation test scripts for ServiceNow functionalities.

- Implement continuous improvement strategies for test case development to ensure that automation efforts reduce manual testing time and improve quality.

Manual Testing :

- Conduct comprehensive manual testing of ServiceNow modules, configurations, and customizations.

- Perform functional, regression, UAT, integration, and system testing based on business requirements.

- Validate the output from automated tests and manually test edge cases or complex scenarios that can't be easily automated.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution :

- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.

- Log and track defects, ensuring that they are documented and addressed in a timely manner.

- Continuously monitor test scripts and update them to handle any new features or changes.

Test Execution and Reporting :

- Execute both automated and manual tests and document the results accurately.

- Produce comprehensive test execution reports and maintain test logs for traceability and auditing purposes.

- Ensure that all test results meet predefined quality standards.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and align testing with business needs.

- Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders about testing progress, risks, and defect statuses.

Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow ATF updates, features, and best practices.

- Share knowledge and contribute to process improvements and the development of automation frameworks.

Required Qualifications :

Experience :

- 7+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework).

- Experience with ServiceNow development and understanding its configurations and modules.

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in ServiceNow ATF, including creating test cases, workflows, and debugging.

- Expertise in manual testing techniques including functional, regression, and integration testing.

- Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Groovy for automating test scripts.

- Experience with other testing frameworks or tools (i.e., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is a plus.

Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting :

- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues promptly.

- Experience with defect management tools (i.e., Jira).

Communication Skills :

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams and present test reports effectively.

- Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team and provide updates to senior management.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Desired Skills :

ServiceNow Certifications :

- ServiceNow ATF Certification or any relevant ServiceNow certifications is a plus.

Agile Methodologies :

- Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies and working in Scrum teams.

Automation Tools :

- Experience with other test automation frameworks (i.e. Selenium, Jenkins)
