Manual Test Engineer - API Testing (4-6 yrs)

Job Role : Manual Test Engineer

Experience : 4-6 Years

Location : Noida

Key Responsibilities :

1. Web Application and API Testing :

- Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts for web applications and APIs.

- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure high-quality releases.

- Validate API functionality, including data integrity, security, and performance.

2. Performance Testing :

- Conduct performance, scalability, and load testing using tools like JMeter to identify bottlenecks and ensure application stability under varying workloads.

- Collaborate with development teams to resolve performance issues.

3. Distributed Messaging Systems : Test and validate the functionality and fault tolerance of distributed messaging systems, including RabbitMQ and EMQX.

4. Database Testing :

- Validate and test databases such as Redis, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra for consistency, fault tolerance, and query optimization.

- Ensure schema validation and database performance under load.

5. Cloud and Container Environments :

- Work with Microsoft Azure to validate and optimize cloud-native applications.

- Perform container-based testing in Kubernetes environments to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

6. Bug Tracking and Defect Management :

- Identify, report, and track bugs to resolution using tools like TestRail.

- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

7. CI/CD Integration :

- Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

- Contribute to the improvement of test automation frameworks and workflows.

8. Documentation and Reporting :

- Document test results, issues, and improvements in a clear and concise manner.

- Provide comprehensive test reports to stakeholders, outlining findings and recommendations.

Soft Skills and Qualifications :

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Certifications in testing tools or cloud platforms (e.g., Azure certifications) are a plus.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
