Azure Databricks Architect - Synapse Analytics (14-16 yrs)

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Azure Databricks Architect with 14-16 years of experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, and analytics solutions in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and optimizing Databricks-based architectures on Azure, along with pre-sales experience in handling client proposals, solutioning, and technical presentations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable, high-performance data and analytics solutions using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Spark.

- Lead end-to-end architecture design for data pipelines, ETL workflows, and real-time analytics.

- Engage in pre-sales activities, including responding to RFPs/RFIs, creating PoCs, demos, and technical proposals for enterprise clients.

- Collaborate with sales, business, and technical teams to define data strategy, roadmap, and migration plans.

- Optimize Databricks performance, cost efficiency, and security within enterprise environments.

- Provide thought leadership on Big Data, AI/ML, and data governance best practices.

- Mentor junior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation.

Required Skills Experience :

- 14-16 years of overall IT experience with expertise in Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and Data Lake architecture.

- Strong understanding of Azure services (ADLS, Synapse, ADF, Azure ML, CosmosDB, etc.)

- Proven experience in pre-sales, client engagement, and proposal writing for data-driven solutions.

- Hands-on experience in Python, Scala, SQL, and data engineering frameworks.

- Experience with ML models, AI/ML workloads on Databricks, and MLOps is a plus.

- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications :

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

- Databricks Certified Professional Architect
