Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands on leader for the position of Head of Global Competency - Data Engineering and Analytics to lead our data strategy and engineering efforts.

The successful candidate will possess extensive expertise in data analytics, digital strategy development, and solution architecture, with a proven track record of success in consulting and client engagement.

This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and hands-on technical proficiency, particularly with Microsoft and Azure technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

- Develop and execute the overall strategy for the data and analytics practice in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

- Identify market trends, emerging technologies, and client needs to continuously evolve and enhance the practice offerings.

- Provide thought leadership and guidance on industry best practices, methodologies, and frameworks related to data and analytics.

- Collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to develop compelling value propositions, proposals, and go-to-market strategies

- Define and develop partner channel strategies with key strategic partners that will be critical to driving revenue growth for the company

Technology Leadership:

- Leverage expertise in Microsoft and Azure technologies, particularly Databricks and Snowflake, to develop strategy and offerings to increase value realization for clients.

- Demonstrated expertise and thought leadership on helping clients to leverage Azure Data Analytics platform components such as Azure Databricks, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Search, Synapse, and Snowflake to deliver targeted business outcomes.

- Demonstrated expertise and thought leadership to drive service offerings that maximize the impact of machine learning solutions across data ingestion and data consumption capabilities working with structed, semi-structured, and unstructured data and images.

- Demonstrated expertise and thought leadership on the utilization of open-source technologies including Apache Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL, Kafka, and Solr/Elasticsearch to enhance data solutions.

Thought Leadership:

- Provide thought leadership as a practice leader, demonstrating expertise in data and analytics solutions.

- Engage with clients at senior leadership levels, building strong relationships and serving as a trusted advisor.

- Contributes to thought leadership initiatives (e.g., whitepapers, blogs, research), consultant learning, and professional development initiatives

Team Management and Development

- Working in collaboration with our regions and delivery organizations, define and help build a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, engineers, and consultants.

- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

- Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional teamwork within the data and analytics practice and across the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Minimum of 12 years of experience in data analytics, consulting, digital strategy development, or transformation programs.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role within the data and analytics domain, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.

- Proven track record of driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering impactful data and analytics solutions for clients.

- Strong understanding of data management, data governance, data visualization, predictive analytics, machine learning, and other relevant technologies and methodologies.

- Strong expertise (5+ years) with Microsoft and Azure technologies, including experience with platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster innovation, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
