Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Architect with 15 to 16 years of experience in data management, architecture, and cloud technologies, particularly with Azure.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of data modeling, design, and implementation in cloud environments, as well as hands-on expertise in managing large-scale, complex data solutions.

You will play a pivotal role in leading data architecture strategies, driving innovation, and providing guidance on architecture best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based data architectures using Azure (Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, etc.

- Architect and implement data solutions that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance across a range of business units.

- Define and implement data governance, data quality, and data privacy strategies in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.

- Design end-to-end data pipelines and integrate data from various sources into the cloud-based data platform.

- Ensure the alignment of data architecture with business goals and strategies, and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate those needs into scalable and efficient data solutions.

- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to ensure seamless integration and data availability.

- Design and implement data modeling strategies and ensure data consistency, integrity, and availability.

- Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of data platforms.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools, providing recommendations for improving data architecture and engineering practices.

- Define and enforce best practices and standards for data storage, integration, and processing.

- Conduct architecture reviews, providing insights and solutions to improve existing systems.

- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and architects to build and maintain a high-performing team.

- Work on cost optimization strategies for cloud-based data solutions on Azure and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Required Skills :

- 15 to 16 years of experience in data architecture, with a proven track record of delivering data solutions in complex, large-scale environments.

- Expert-level experience with Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, -Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.

- Strong experience in data modeling, ETL processes, data integration, and cloud-based data solutions.

- Solid understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus.

- Experience with data governance frameworks and managing compliance for sensitive data (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.

- Expertise in creating end-to-end data solutions, including the design of robust data pipelines and data lakes.

- Proven ability to implement data security and privacy controls in the cloud.

- Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g, SQL, NoSQL) and experience with data warehousing concepts.

- Experience with data orchestration and automation using tools like Azure Data Factory and other scheduling tools.

- Expertise in data performance tuning and optimization in cloud environments.

- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

- Excellent understanding of data-driven decision-making and how to enable business insights from complex data environments.

- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and mentoring junior architects and engineers.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Azure certifications (e.g, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.

- Experience with AI/ML integration into data architectures is a plus.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

- Knowledge of multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud strategies.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

- Background in business intelligence or analytics systems, such as Power BI or other reporting tools.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Additional certifications in Data Architecture, Azure, or Cloud Computing are a plus.
