Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager
Department: Sales/Business Development
Location: Thane Godhbunder Road

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for the company's fintech products and services. You will be a key player in expanding the company's client base by selling innovative financial solutions, such as digital payments, lending platforms, or blockchain-based services, to businesses and financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities in the fintech space, including financial institutions, online businesses, e-commerce platforms, and startups.
  • Develop and implement a business development strategy to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the financial ecosystem, including banks, payment gateways, and other technology partners.
  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, competition, and new potential markets in fintech.
  • Prepare and present sales pitches, proposals, and business development reports to senior management.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and partnership agreements.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to expand your network and represent the company.
  • Identify potential clients and markets for the company's IT services, such as custom software development, infrastructure services, and IT consulting.
  • Develop a strategic plan for growing the companys client base in target industries like healthcare, retail, or banking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers such as CTOs, CIOs, and IT Directors.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop tailored solutions for clients based on their business needs.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare business development reports and sales forecasts for senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in fintech, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of financial technologies, digital payments, blockchain, and lending platforms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify opportunities for growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with financial institutions or payment gateways.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and legal frameworks in fintech.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

Key Differences:

  • Fintech BDM: Focuses more on selling financial technology solutions (e.g., digital payments, lending, blockchain), requiring a deeper understanding of financial products and industry regulations.
  • IT Services BDM: Emphasizes selling technical solutions like software development, managed IT services, and cloud computing, with more emphasis on enterprise relationships and technical sales.
