Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our growing HR team in a unique role that bridges the HR department and the Institutional Equities and Investment Banking business units. You will report directly to both the CEO and CHRO, acting as a key liaison and providing comprehensive support across various HR functions. This includes talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition:
- Partner with business leaders within Institutional Equities and Investment Banking to understand current and future talent needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external recruitment vendors.
- Brief vendors thoroughly on open roles, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of the position requirements, company culture, and desired candidate profile.
- Collaborate with vendors to develop effective recruitment strategies and ensure alignment on search briefs.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and facilitating feedback sessions.
- Offer Management & Onboarding:
- Create and maintain templates and formats for requesting pre-offer documents from candidates.
- Review candidate documents, address any discrepancies, and ensure completeness.
- Act as a liaison with candidates and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely rollout of offers.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including coordinating paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Employee Relations:
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns, escalating complex issues to the HR Manager as needed.
- Assist in conducting investigations and resolving employee relations matters.
- Champion a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Performance Management:
- Support the performance review process, including goal setting, feedback sessions, and performance improvement plans.
- Track and analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with managers to identify high-potential employees and support their career development.
- HR Administration:
- Maintain employee files and ensure data integrity.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Prepare HR reports and presentations as needed.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Conduct regular market research and analysis to stay up-to-date with competitor pay scales and bonus structures.
- Assist in ensuring the organization's compensation and benefits packages remain competitive to attract and retain top talent.
- Compliance:
- Stay abreast of current labor laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Education:
- MBA in Human Resources from a tier 1 institution.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, HRBP, or in a Talent Acquisition role, with a strong understanding of the Institutional Equities and Investment Banking domain.
- Proven experience working with HRMS (Human Resources Management Systems).
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with and managing external vendors.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and HR colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
