Head - Strategy & Business Operations
Role Overview :
- As the P&L Owner, you will be responsible for driving the revenue, profitability, and overall business growth of the vertical.
- You will own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and financial performance of the business unit, ensuring sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities :
P&L Management & Growth Strategy :
- Own the P&L, revenue targets, and cost structure to ensure profitability.
- Define and execute a growth strategy, including customer acquisition, retention, and monetization.
- Optimize pricing models, revenue streams, and business models to maximize margins.
Business Expansion & Market Positioning:
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and expansion opportunities.
- Conduct competitive analysis to differentiate and strengthen market positioning.
- Develop partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders (schools, universities, enterprises, etc.).
Product & Customer Experience:
- Collaborate with the Product & Tech teams to enhance offerings based on market needs.
- Ensure a seamless customer journey, improving engagement, retention, and learning outcomes.
- Leverage data & insights to drive user growth and optimize course/content strategies.
Sales, Marketing & Operations:
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing to drive customer acquisition and brand awareness.
- Define and optimize customer acquisition costs (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV).
- Improve operational efficiency, ensuring smooth execution across all business functions.
Leadership & Team Building:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing cross-functional team.
- Foster a data-driven, results-oriented, and innovative work culture.
- Align stakeholders across departments to achieve business objectives.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in owning P&L, scaling businesses, and driving revenue growth (preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or consumer internet).
- Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, and strategic thinking.
- Hands-on experience in growth marketing, sales, and product-led growth strategies.
- Prior experience of working in a startup is desired.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and scale teams.
- Exposure to fundraising, investor relations, and stakeholder management is a plus
