Operational / Customer
Strategic / Leadership
- Review standard BIM execution plan, BIM Goals and uses, BIM responsibility matrix for various zones.
- Monitor BIM deliverables and timelines for projects by obtaining timely inputs from Zonal BIM managers.
- Flag constraints and clear bottlenecks in a timely manner
- Guide Zonal BIM managers in solving technical issues related to BIM
- Report on the company s current and projected state in regards to BIM implementation
- Create and lead deployment strategies for the BIM implementation effort
Software/Technology
- Manage software products including but not limited to incorporating new version releases, maintaining legacy software and customizing software for specific organizational needs
- Oversee BIM software organization-wide, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all BIM installations
- Manage the implementation of supporting software and plug-ins for BIM Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies
- Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM
- Evaluate and implement further automations using dynamo/ python or any other established software tools.
Training and knowledge sharing
- Provide fundamental and intermediate training to in-house staff on BIM software
- Continue education on BIM processes and new developments
- Provide technical orientation to new hires regarding BIM tools
- Test and evaluate new hires skills in BIM
- Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training
- Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM; bringing back learning and disseminating the information to appropriate teams
Sales and Marketing
- Facilitate preparation of rendered images and VR walk through
Process
Processes Adherence / Improvement
- Responsible for BIM standards development/review, implementation, and enforcement
- Creation and maintenance of the template files to assure standards
- Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity
- Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings produced
- Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
- Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of BIM managers to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of BIM models
